Troubleshooting

What the app's messages mean and what to do about them.

I can't sign in

  • Incorrect email or password. — Check for typos. If you still can't get in, your school's Alora administrator can reset your password.
  • Your account is locked after several wrong passwords — the message tells you; wait and try again later, or ask your administrator.
  • Too many attempts. Wait a minute and try again. — Just wait a minute.
  • Couldn't reach the server. — Check your Wi-Fi or mobile data.
  • This account requires two-step verification… — Use the Alora web portal for now.

“This app is for …”

You signed in to the app for another kind of account. Tap Sign out and install the right app (see Which app is mine?). Administrators use the web portal.

“Alora is locked”

Face ID unlock is on and didn't recognize you. Tap Unlock to try again. You can turn the lock off in Settings.

A section says it couldn't load

Each section loads on its own, so one problem never blanks the whole screen. Tap Retry on that section, or pull down to refresh. If it keeps failing, check your connection and write to us.

A section or button is missing

Schools choose which features to use — for example Alora Chat, XP and levels, the weekly check-in or attendance. If your school hasn't turned a feature on, it simply doesn't appear. Ask your school if you think it should be there.

A grade, class or name looks wrong

The app shows your school's records exactly as they are. Ask your teacher or school office to correct it at the source; the app shows the change the next time it refreshes.

Some text is in the other language

The app's own text follows your language setting. Text your school writes — course names, check-in questions, announcements and some update titles — appears in the language the school used.

I don't get the Quick Break alert

The first time you start a Quick Break, iOS asks whether Alora may send notifications. If you chose Don't Allow, turn it on in the iPhone's Settings → Notifications → Alora.

No puedo iniciar sesión
