Our mission: to make continuous student understanding standard in every school, regardless of size or budget, so potential is nurtured and struggle is caught while there is still time to respond.
Years ago, I was asked to pull a student’s records after something no school should ever go through. I opened the file expecting to find a childhood. What I found was attendance, tardies, and grades. Nothing else.
Years of that child’s life inside our schools — the quiet withdrawal, the visits to the nurse, the teacher who had worried out loud in a hallway — and the system had seen none of it. Every adult who might have connected the pieces was holding a different one, in a different system, behind a different login.
I never forgot that empty file. Alora is what I believe every child’s record should have been all along: the whole child, seen in time.
Alora is built by UpperCase Systems, a team that has spent over seventeen years inside school information systems: running them, migrating them, and fixing them at scale for public, charter, and private schools. We have administered systems serving hundreds of thousands of students, and we have seen exactly what those systems fail to see. Alora is what we built in response.
Your request is on its way to the Alora team. We’ll reach out within a school day.
